The Power of the Peach

The Original PeachSkinSheets was founded by Karen Levine, whose background is in Sales, Advertising and Marketing. She graduated in 1987 from Mary Baldwin Womens’ College in Staunton Virginia.

While being a stay at home mom, she became one of the first bed sheet PowerSellers on eBay in the late 90’s, then went on to become a Mary Kay Pink Car Sales Director. In 2013 after her children were grown, she returned to eCommerce and created The Original PeachSkinSheets in order to fill a specific niche in the linen market.

In 2013, The Idea For PeachSkinSheets Was Born In Atlanta, Georgia

In 2013 after her children were grown, she returned to eCommerce and created The Original PeachSkinSheets in order to fill a specific niche in the linen market. There was an obvious need for high quality, ultra-soft performance sheets priced under $100 that could be offered in a fabulous array of colors. Among the problems she sought to address included:

(1) Most every new sheet set had to be “broken in” through multiple washings to finally become soft enough to sleep on comfortably. They essentially felt like sandpaper coming out of the package

(2) Both sexes have issues with perspiration whether it be activity levels, hormones or just temperature sensitivities. Moisture management and breathability had to be key

(3) The idea of spending $200-$300 for a set of sheets is not reality for many people when there are car payments to be made! PeachSkinSheets had to be affordable in addition to performing and feeling like no other product on the market.

(4) Most sheet companies had a boring line up of colors…white, cream, and gray. Although those shades are necessary to offer and do create some beautiful home environments, we wanted to go a step further and be about COLOR.

Colors provide an emotional connection, sense of well being and make people happy. We wanted our customers to have lots of different colors to choose from depending on their moods, decor, even the season.

Although the product was born and branded in Atlanta, Georgia which automatically makes a person think that our name originated from Georgia Peaches, it actually is tied to the fabric finish.

Our ultra-soft “Peach Skin” finish is attained through a specific manufacturing process. We first start with a coveted, high grade athletic performance material and then create our infamous softness on every piece.
